Jackie Agner was involved in the domestic\/international shipping business for more than half her life. She started in 1973 as a receptionist at Christie Lambert Van & Storage, which at the time was the largest port agent on the west coast. She knew early on that she loved the industry, \u201cchallenges and all.\u201d Ms. Agner quickly started climbing the corporate ladder and has earned a reputation as a dedicated and caring leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2010 marked Jackie\u2019s 30th convention with the International Association of Movers. For decades she had served the Association in many capacities. Currently, she represents the interests of IAM\u2019s U.S. and overseas Core members on the IAM Executive Committee, and she was head of the Core Members Management Board. Her efforts have been instrumental in the formation of the IAM YP-35 (Young Professionals) group and in the founding of the Alan F. Wohlstetter Scholarship Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to Ms. Agner\u2019s IAM board obligations, she served as Membership Chair for her local MG Car Club and ran a weekend catering business, \u201cJ & K Solutions,\u201d with her daughter Kristy. Jackie\u2019s husband, George, has been in the moving and storage business for more than 40 years. He is currently an owner-operator leased on to Continental Van Lines out of Seattle\/Tacoma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jackie was a friend and mentor to many people she has touched professionally. Her business knowledge and honest disposition served her customers well.
