In response to a 5 December email by Andy Dawson, TRANSCOM\u2019s Director of the Defense Personal Property Program Management Office, sent to some industry leaders outlining significant changes to the current Defense Personal Property Program (DP3) for 2025, the International Association of Movers (IAM) sent a letter in response to the email to Dawson, expressing significant industry concerns with the proposed changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the letter, IAM warns that these changes could destabilize the moving industry and negatively impact military service members\u2019 relocation experiences. IAM emphasizes the importance of stability, collaboration, and maintaining existing performance structures to ensure DP3 capacity and quality service. The association urges TRANSCOM to pause the changes, engage with stakeholders, and retain the current DP3 model to support military families effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
